My End of year Journey
into Wales
2008 AD
Not content with one trip at the
end of the year, I decided to visit the South as well.
Despite of my love of Wales I have not been to the South
since my mother died more than 10 years ago

Well they don't
call them the Black Mountains for nothing, it was rather
dingy.
Indeed given the
mist there is not a lot to see in the distance.
Is there?
Just the road
leading off into the distance.
Just hints of what
lies beyond
However when the
sun comes out it can be quite scenic. (along the A40
beyond Brecon)

The photograph

Another then and
now shot
| Twenty years growth in those trees
and they still show the same pattern. |

Same general area February 1987

| The Welsh desert, there is a lot of
this. |
Wild horses would not tear me away
from it.
No glaciers in Wales? a frozen
waterfall.
A standing stone
| |
| Further down the road from the stone, on the
way to Sennybridge. The road takes a sudden drop. |
