How Autism was seen in the 1960's

This is a scan of an article which appeared in the Observer Sunday Colour Supplement, on July 17th 1966 written by Virginia Makin and photographed by Jane Bown

I hope it proves an interesting insight into the perception and treatment of autism in the 1960's
